AS OF WRITING THIS (11/13/2024), THIS FIREARM IS TRANSFERABLE/COMPLIANT IN THE STATE OF MASSACHUSETTS
The Valmet M71 is highly sought after and is considered to be one of the finest AK type service rifles to ever be made. Importation of these firearms was banned in the mid eighties, leaving only a few thousand of these floating around in the US.
This particular unit is in great mechanical condition. The most notable point of wear & tear is the poly furniture, which shows a good amount of aging. Everything else shows to be in good condition, with the original finish being very well preserved, and the internals looking nearly flawless. This rifle is sure to have many decades worth of life left in it to the next lucky owner.

The enforcement of the Long Gun Roster has been postponed until the roster is officially released, and the release date remains uncertain. As of writing this (11/25/2024), all long guns are still transferable in Massachusetts for now, provided they do not meet the NEW definition of an "Assault Style Firearm."
